ACCEL PowerFilters were put to the test and proven to make your engine

come alive with more power! Independent laboratory tests have shown

ACCEL PowerFilters to flow as well as gauze filters, and much better than

paper filters. In fact, they were proven to be unparalleled at stopping dirt.

Priced substantially lower than comparable gauze filters,ACCEL

PowerFilters provide the best value, highest air flow and the best engine

protection for your money.

ACCEL PowerFilters™ utilize the same filtration material

used by winning off-road and motorcycle racers for years.

Now available for direct replacement in passenger cars and

light trucks, PowerFilters™ provide increased airflow for

more power and improved filtration for extended engine

protection.

WHY ACCEL POWERFILTERS™

As with installing a larger carburetor or adding a turbo-charger or super-

charger, increasing the amount of intake air available to the engine increases

its potential horsepower.ACCEL’s reticulated, open cell polyurethane foam

is especially designed for high flow filtration. More air can flow through the

PowerFilter™, it does not depend only on its surface for filtration, but traps

dust and dirt throughout its entire “depth” or thickness.Therefore, the

PowerFilter™ can be designed with much less airflow restriction compared

to paper filters.

PowerFilters™ are equipped with two stages of filtration material.An outer

layer of coarser foam traps larger dirt particles while maintaining extremely

high airflow.An inner layer of finer foam stops the smallest particles (to 3

microns in diameter) from entering your engine. Foam strand spacing is pre-

cisely controlled during manufacturing to ensure maximum airflow and opti-

mum filtration.

PowerFilters™ are washable and reusable.When cleaning is required, the

foam element can be removed from the steel frame (round element only)

and washed in any grease cutting liquid dishwashing detergent or our Foam

Filter Cleaner P/N 71010.After rinsing and drying, just re-oil the element

with ACCEL’s flame retardant Foam Filter Oil P/N 71000. Once the filter is

washed and re-oiled, it’s as good as new!
